Administrative correspondence relating to the prisoner of war relief scheme set up at Birr Castle under the patronage of Lady Rosse; postcards and letters of thanks from the prisoners of war from Irish regiments (but predominantly the Irish Guards) interned in Germany; and acknowledgment postcards of parcels received from same.

In 1870, Thomas Weldon Trench resigned his position and W. S, Trench employed Reginald Digby, nephew of Lord Digby, to replace T. W, Trench on the estate. W. S. Trench died in 1872, and Reginald Digby continued thereafter as sole agent for estate.

Presentment or 'Jobs' books belonging to James Franck Rolleston, Franckfort Castle, Dunkerrin, King's County. Complete for the years 1830 -1868, except for 1863, 1864 and 1865.

Six volumes of abstracts of presentments granted at twice yearly assizes between 1852 and 1878. Annotated and inscribed by Henry Trench, particularly in relation to the barony of Clonlisk.

Two leather-bound and embossed notebooks containing inquest reports handwritten by James Dillon, King's County Coroner. Format of inquest reports is largely identical beginning with a record of the inquest number, date, location of inquest and the name of the deceased. Then follows a list of the jurors present and witnesses called. The reports end with a verdict on the cause of death.

Material relating to the Bloomfield family and their time at Loughton. The Bloomfield family owned Loughton from 1828 until 1870.
