Sterling Berry was born in 1771, the ninth child and fifth son of Thomas and Frances Berry of Eglish. He married in 1806 and died in 1828.

Robert Fleetwood Berry was born on the 1st January 1777, the twelfth child and seventh son of Thomas and Frances Berry of Eglish Castle near Birr. As a young man, he was apprenticed, from 1793 until some time after 1801 to Mr John Brennard, a cotton merchant and draper, of Castle Street, Liverpool. By 1804, he lived in Ireland and was employed in the linen business in Dublin. In 1812 was living at Gallen, King's County, being employed in connection with the Grand Canal. On the 14th of November of that year he married Elizabeth Crow at St. Catherine’s Church, Tullamore. She was the daughter of Edward Crow of the Round House, Cromac Street, Tullamore. After their marriage they lived at Shannon Harbour. He died there suddenly on the 21st August 1822 and was buried in the Berry enclosure in the graveyard of the Church of Ireland Church at Eglish, King's County.

James Armstrong Berry of Irishtown, Eglish was born on the 13th July 1770, the 8th child and 4th son of Thomas and Frances Berry of Eglish. He lived for most of his life on the townland of Ballinagulna, about ½ a mile from Eglish in a small mill. He was a Captain in the Eglish Troop of Yeomanry in 1808. In 1818 he married Margaret. In the census of 1821 he describes himself as a farmer and miller. In March 1834 he was living in Parsontown (Birr). His eldest son William was born in 1819 and died on the 17th April 1850 at Mossfield.

Frances Berry was born in 1743, and was the only child of Knight Berry of Birr and Eglish and his wife Sophia, daughter of Captain James Sterling of Whigsborough. In 1759 she married Thomas Berry. They lived at Eglish Castle and had sixteen children. Frances Berry died in 1807 and is buried at Eglish.

Elizabeth 'Bess' Berry was the fourth child and second daughter of Edward and Margaret Crow of Tullamore. In 1812, she married Robert Fleetwood Berry who died in 1822. She died in 1848 and was buried at Eglish.

Lewis Knox Bell, son of David Charles Bell (1817-1902) and Ellen Adine Hyland (1816-1907), was born around the year 1857 in Ireland. He lived in Washington, District of Columbia, United States of America, near his parents in the year 1890. Lewis Knox Bell died in January 1908 at Westbrooke House, Alton, Hampshire, England. He was buried 16 January 1908 in Westcott, Surrey, England.

Ellen Adine Hyland, daughter of John Hyland and Sophia Kelly, was born in 1816 in Dublin. She was baptised at Saint Michael and John's church, Dublin City, Ireland. She married David Charles Bell on 19 October 1840 in Perth, Scotland. They had eleven children: Alexander Bell (1841-1843); Robert Bell (1842-1849); Esther Alicia Bell (1844-1850); Laura Jane Bell (1853-1949); Lewis Knox Bell (1857-1909); Charles James Bell (1858-1929); Sophie Bell; William Bell; Aileen Bell; Elizabeth Bell; and Chichester Bell. In [date] she moved to Brantford, Ontario, Canada with her husband and four of their children. In 1880 she immigrated to the United States with her husband. David Charles Bell died on 28 October 1902. After her husband's death, Ellen Adine Bell lived in Georgetown, Virgina for a short while before moving to Stoneleigh Court, where she died in 1907. Ellen Adine Bell is buried with her husband at Rock Creek Cemetery in Washington, District of Columbia.

David Charles Bell, son of Alexander Bell (1790-1865) and Elizabeth Colville (d. 1856), was born in Saint Andrews, Fife, Scotland on 4 May 1817. He married Ellen Adine Hyland on 19 October 1840 in Perth, Scotland. They had eleven children: Alexander Bell (1841-1843); Robert Bell (1842-1849); Esther Alicia Bell (1844-1850); Laura Jane Bell (1853-1949); Lewis Knox Bell (1857-1909); Charles James Bell (1858-1929); Sophie Bell; William Bell; Aileen Bell; Elizabeth Bell; and Chichester Bell. David Charles Bell became a Professor of Englsih Literature and Elocution at Dublin University in Ireland where he taught George Bernard Shaw. In [date] he followed his brother Melville Bell and immigrated to Brantford, Ontario, Canada, with his wife Ellen and four of their children.

On 3 August 1876, Professor Charles Bell paticipated in the first successful test of his nephew Alexander Graham Bell's telephone. From the Brantford telegraph office, he receited lines from Shakespeare's Hamlet to his nephew, who was waiting at the A Wallis Ellis store in the neighbouring town of Mount Pleasant, Ontario, Canada. Alexander Graham Bell was able to hear his uncle's voice emanating from his receiver housed in a metal box. Thus, David Charles Bell was the first voice to be heard over a telephone. In 1880, David Charles Bell and his family immigrated a second time, from Ontario to the United States. David Charles Bell died on 28 October 1902 in Washington, District of Columbia, United States of America. He was buried at Rock Creek Cemetery in Washington, District of Columbia.
