Documents and business records relating to Pattersons & Co. Ltd., Edenderry.

The collection is comprised of artefacts, plans and drawings of the Clashawaun Works (jute spinning mill) and its machinery. The business records include; material relating to the formation of the limited company in 1888; correspondence with directors and partners; notices of meetings and resolutions adopted; some handwritten minutes and material relating to the formation of the limited company to a public company in 1937.

Typed memoranda entitled 'Points in Favour of Banagher's Claim for Sugar Beet Factory'. Argument set out under headings which include; situation of proposed site, mode of conveyance to site and beet supply. With five copies and manuscript draft.

Copy of private account and stock book of Catherine Finlay and Elizabeth Patterson, Edenderry.

Account lists stock in trade, includes; bread soda, whole ginger, pearl barley, whole pepper, caraway seeds, liquorice stick, spices, herbs, paper supplies, cocoa, French brandy, whiskey cordials, logwood. Profits calculated and divided equally between the partners.
