The majority of the documents in this file concern the 1906-1907 improvements made to Borrisnafarney church. Examples of such records include a letter from Reverand John D Morrow, Rathenny Cottage, Cloughjordan, to Benjamin Bloomfield Trench regarding painting the church a new baptismal font, a new church window and new pews; specifications for alterations to be carried out in the existing church. Also included in the file is a letter from Benjamin Bloomfield Trench, 41 Onslow square, London regarding his hesitations over church improvements, he believes the congregation should have a say and therefore wants to hold a secret ballot. This is followed by a letter from The Rt Rev. Mervyn Archdall, Clarisford, Killaloe, Co. Carlow which states that according to religious law such a ballot would be illegal and therefore would not be honored. The file includes two copies of a October 1935 letter and an amendment from James Gibson & son, 50 Mary street, Dublin. Within this letter they estimate the cost of the painting required.
The file also includes a letter from Theodora Trench to Leake, painters & decorators, Birr, Offaly dated 27 September 1937asking them to examine work inside the home and estimate.

Also includes a New Zealand mechanical transport manual used to record mileage, routes and journey lengths; Red Cross clothes patterns including male assistant's coat or overalls, gentleman's nightshirt, nurses apron, dressing gown; driving permit; meal voucher card for journey from from Walton to Cloughjordan 14/7/18 - 19/8/18; certificate of enrolment in a voluntary aid detachment; and permit to wear the Red Cross uniform.
