Letter of 8th January 1813 makes a number of queries as to the population of the town and the existence of a company supplying gas and whether or not any capital could be obtained locally.
Letter of 28th January 1913 (1p) requests a meeting with one or two members of the Electric Lighting Committee and letter of 30th June 1913 enquiries about cost of rental of the street lighting.

With draft reply in the hand of R. H. Moore stating that the children 'two thirds of whom are barefoot are under my own and that of my assistant's observation' (1p).
