Also includes a resolution responding to a proposal by Meath County Council to establish a special institution for reception and treatment of children of unmarried mothers and orphans: 'This letter was read at the Meeting and the Commissioner made observation thereon "that we are open to consider any economical scheme" and ordered that more particulars be got regarding this proposal.'
