‘Kalendarium Facultatis Philosophiae Sancti Stanislai Tulliolani’.

File relating to the rental of accommodation for the summer villa of the Tullabeg community. Mainly includes material relating to the rental of Classiebawn Castle, county Sligo, such as correspondence between Fr Brendan Lawler SJ and Commander W.F.V. North, Estate Office, Romsey, Hampshire, acting on behalf of the owner, Countess Mountbatten of Burma.

Journal kept by the beadle of the Philosophate. Includes: Entry on the last page ‘Sat. 10th Vac. etc.…The trek from Tullabeg begins and will carry on for a few days. So ends Tullabeg as a Philosophate, and thereby the Philosophers’ Journal.’

– letter from Fr Burke Savage SJ to Fr Jerome Mahony SJ (19 November 1955, 3pp) on the ‘strong local tradition that we built Tullabeg’, enclosing copies of early letters relevant to the subject (21 April 1815 – 29 April 1817, 7 items, 9pp).

Includes correspondence between Fr Brendan Lawler SJ, Rector of the College and J.V.Tierney, Consulting Engineers, Duke Street, Dublin, Bective Electrical Company, Dawson Street, Dublin and the superiors of other Jesuit colleges such as Fr Redmond Roche SJ of Belvedere College and Fr Francis Joy SJ of Mungret College.
