Newspaper clipping of an obituary which reads, “We regret to announce the death of captain Seymour Stritch, 6th Battalion Connaught Rangers, who has been killed in action in France. Deceased was better known in Dublin as Dr. Seymour Stritch, of Gardiner’s place, and at the outbreak of the war he joined the Army as a combatant officer. The late Captain Stritch was a cousin of Sir Edward Carson and of General Sir Bryan Mahon. He was the second surviving son of the late Mr. John R. Stritch, K.C., and his brother is Mr. J. Russel Stritch, solicitor. Captain Stritch was well known in connection with medical literary work, and was highly esteemed by the prefession and general public. He was a Prince Mason. He leaves a widow and two young children.”
