Endorsement of resolution sent to the Board by the general secretary of the Gaelic League: 'That we are in absolute agreement with the Archbishop of Tuam and Rev. Fr Confey in their condemnation of foreign dances and the broadcasting programme of 2RN, that it is wrong for 2RN to broadcast Jazz at all, and that we appeal to the church, the teachers, the organisation, every public board and association to ask the government to prohibit such broadcasts from 2RN in the future, in so much as it is against the religion, learning and culture of Ireland. Furthermore to ask every Irishman to boycott "Jazz Dances".' (23 Jan 1934)

Resolution to accept offer from the Earl of Rosse for a free site to erect a new district hospital at Wilmer Road, Birr.

Resolution to allow a boot factory to be established in the former Birr workhouse buildings.

Minute Book (1940-41)

Includes:
Recommendation of the establishment of a First Aid Service under the Local Security Force as a result of the break out of World War II, as it will be expected that the Board of Health will place its transport and personnel at its disposal. The Board further resolves to clean and disinfect the old infirmary building and lay on electric light and water in the event of an emergency (July 1940).

Correspondence relating to the delay in building works for the County Hospital featuring the contractors, Phoenix Building Works, and the architect, Michael Scott.
