‘Customs of the Novitiate.’ Includes a table of contents. (Volume is in poor condition, pages detached, binding falling apart.). Appears to be the Custom book of Milltown Park - as reference to 'without leave no one may go into the city', therefore dated before 1884.

Letters to Fr Provincial from various members of the community at Tullabeg, mostly from Fr Rector - Fr William Delaney SJ (1870-1880), Fr Aloysius Sturzo SJ (1880-1883) and Fr George Kelly SJ (1883-1886) - largely concerned with administrative and financial matters. The subjects of the letters are noted on many of the envelopes accompanying them.

Exercise book containing handwritten customs. Inside front cover is the note ‘This book of Customs seems to have been in use in 1878 and for some time before that year. Fr Michael Browne SJ 20 December 1908.’ This custom book was used when the novitiate was at Milltown Park, Dublin (1860-1884), Dromore, County Down (1884-1888) and Tullabeg (1888-1930). Includes a table of contents and leaflet on what outfit is needed for the novitiate at St Stanislaus College, Tullamore. Includes note on outfit for novitiate at St Stanislaus College, Tullamore.
