This series represents the whiskey production in Tullamore under B. Daly & Co. Ltd. from its incorporation in 1903 until the company ceased distilling in the 1950s/ 1960s and associated documents. There are meeting notes, account, production and sales ledgers. Additional sections contain correspondence and production/sales reports, printed labels and stationary and lastly a collection of premises plans.
This series is comprised of accounts from the network of retail branch houses which were established by D. E. Williams in the 1890s, and a small amount of material relating to the establishment of Five Star Supermarkets in the 1960s and 1970s.
This section contains material relating to the overall management of the D. E. Williams Ltd. company. It comprises a small selection of copy minutes of the board of D. E. Williams Ltd. It also contains extensive company accounts from the earliest days of Daniel E. William's grocery business , right through to the 1980s. There is a small amount of material relating to staff, including internal staff newsletters, and salary books.
Series of artificially created files relating to personal legal affairs (property and finance) of Daniel E. Williams, Teresa Williams, Daniel Williams Jr., and Edmund Williams. Additionally, there are files relating to financial affairs of Bernard Daly.
This series reflects one of the biggest divisions of D. E. Williams Ltd., ranging from their business as grocery wholesalers, importers of wines, spirits and tea, their business as seed merchants, and manufacturers of soft drinks, as well as their large bottling operation.
